Fast ease of rinse is an important preference driver for all conditioning products, and for reducing water usage in the shower.   This three-point-bend test can be used as a dynamic measure of wet lubrication effects and reflect what customers experience when using a product.

While methods such as combing force measurements and hair friction measurements can be used to probe lubrication and therefore conditioning by products, these tests are often performed on hair samples that have been thoroughly rinsed. This three-point-bend test has been designed such that it measures tress stiffness at different stages of the wash cycle non-invasively, providing insight into the lubrication that customers experience during use of the product.
