Active Ingredient Delivery Studies

Fluorescence Microscopy

If you want to show that your active ingredient is deposited onto the hair cuticle or penetrates more deeply into the fiber, you may consider active ingredient delivery studies.

TRI Princeton have experience in labelling active ingredients for hair products and visualizing penetration into the hair fiber using a fluorescence microscope.  Fluorescence microscopy is ideal for active ingredients that are difficult to visualize directly with spectroscopic imaging, such as peptides and proteins.  TRI also has access to a confocal fluorescence microscope, for higher quality imaging.
